Here is what you have been waiting for! Hotels will post to animedetour.com/reservations. This year things are a little bit different and it will immediately ask you to put down a card reserving the room. IF AT ALL POSSIBLE PLEASE USE A CREDIT CARD. It is common practice for hotels to put a hold on the card at time of booking and a credit card reads this much differently than a debit card.
After you have entered the information you will receive a confirmation from the hotel of your choice that you have booked your room!

After the room block has filled we will post a notification that we are booked out!

If you happen to miss out on a room we are working on additional locations at a later date.

If you are looking to specifically stay at the Millennium this will be under the same link. 

If the nights available are not lining up with what you need, please book a room still and we can edit at a later date once you email us.

The Hyatt Regency is our new home! At this hotel you will be in convention central and never have to leave the hotel unless you want!

OVERFLOW:

The Millennium is our main overflow hotel this year and is directly across the street! You can either walk across the street or through the skyway as well! Hooray safety from rain when in cosplay!

Hotel Open Date News!

Hotel reservations for Anime-Detour 2018 will be going live at Noon Central time on October 15th!

With our new system you will be able to enter all your info directly into the hotel's database and get your confirmation same day.

If you are interested in getting a suite at the Hyatt Regency, we will have a separate link just for those so no more confusion or uncertainty over if you have a suite or not.

Likewise, if you are registering as part of a school group please contact us at reservations@animedetour.com ahead of time and we will be sending out a link just for you to reserve your rooms. People in the Artists Alley or Dealers can get special links from their convention contacts after the 15th.'

Overflow hotels will be coming at a later date.

P-P-Parking Update!

September 20th 2017, 15:54 CDT

Parking has been a constant topic of discussion with the new hotel, today we bring you some news!

The Loring Ramp is directly next to the Hyatt and the daily rate for attendees has been reduced to $13. We know this will fill and is higher than some may have typically factored into their convention budgets for us. With these concerns in mind we have also been in discussions with other nearby ramps. At this time we will also have parking available with the nearby MCTC ramp at a rate of $5, but at the MCTC ramp, if you park your car there on Friday and leave on Sunday your total payment will still be $5!

We will be running shuttles to the MCTC ramp, as well as other to be announced ramps and overflow hotels, all weekend long. We still have more in the works so stay tuned for more announcements!

 

Hotel News!

Attention fans of Anime Detour!

Hotel rooms will be going live soon and we know you all have been very curious about how to get a room for our beautiful new hotel. We have an adopted a system known as Passkey which will make reserving rooms easier than before, it will let you input all your info directly into the Hyatt's database including your credit card info so that you should get a confirmation number straight away from the hotel. Even better, it will allow you, yes YOU, to make any changes you want to your own reservation without having to go through a middleman.


The important stuff to know for now- rooms will go live sometime in October, we'll give you an exact day in the coming weeks here, with separate forms for regular rooms and for suite rooms. That way anyone who want's a suite can get it right away without having to try and deal with the rush on the regular sleeping rooms. Additionally, this new hotel has nearly TWICE as many sleeping rooms as we used to have, so we hope to see you all there!
 

Registration Ready to Go for Anime Detour 2018: New Game +!

Registration for Anime Detour 2018: New Game + is now officially open!!

Our Rates for 2018, as previously mentioned, have changed a little bit.

We are returning to tiered pricing. From now until February 1st, standard memberships will be at $50 each. The cost will then increase to $60 until pre-registration closes on March 3rd. 

Some small changes have been made to both Sponsor and Community Sponsor memberships. The bases have remained at $150 for Sponsors and $250 for Community Sponsors, with the $100 dollar difference going into the Anime Twin Cities Community Fund as it has in the past. The Sponsor breakfast is now optional with a surcharge of $30, and a limit of 100 Sponsors.

Please register early and don't forget to remind your friends! We are gearing up for a very exciting year!

Thank you all once again for being a part of a wonderful convention year. This year we raised over $26,000 for the American Red Cross, saved lives with a fully booked blood drive, had a live concert for the first time in years, and had our highest attendance yet.

When writing these posts we have a tendency to say this couldn't happen without you. This often sounds a little hokey but it is the honest truth from the bottom of all of our hearts.

As we move this year, for the fourth time since our beginning, we know there will be a lot of questions. We do have some already set and answered on our moving page. We know there will be more. Everything will continue to be updated as we get closer to moving into our new location. Please reach out to us with your concerns, we're listening and here.

Shiny and New!

Each year we are able to offer a couple premieres and this year is no different!

This year we will be premiering Endride and the English dub premiere of The Black Butler Live Action Movie.

Starting at Noon on Saturday in Atrium 7 Endride follows Shun Asanaga, a 15-year-old junior high school student with an optimistic and bright personality. One day, he finds a mysterious crystal in the office of his father, who is a scientist and businessman. When Shun touches it, the world becomes distorted, and he is sent into the world of Endra. Emilio, a prince of the kingdom of Endra, is nearing his 16th birthday and despises the reigning king, Delzain. What future lies ahead for the two boys trying to survive in Endra, yet raised in two different worlds?

This will be immediately followed by The Black Butler Live Action Movie dubbed premiere at 1:45 pm in the same room!

It is with heavy heart that Christopher Ayres has informed us he will not be able to attend Anime Detour this year. He is sorry that this is last minute but there are a number of personal concerns which need to be attended to. He wishes us Love and Laughter and we will see him next year.

LESS THAN A WEEK UNTIL WE OPEN!!!

We have hit less than a week to the convention!!! This time next week we will be watching anime, going to panels, and doing this all together!! Can you tell we're excited?

Things will be running a little different this year in light of having badges available for At the Door Registration. Lines will be allowed to begin forming at 8:30 am, there will be separate lines for badge pick up and at the door registration. On Friday, registration will be open from 9am-9pm, PLEASE KEEP IN MIND WE DO NOT EXPECT AT THE DOOR REGISTRATION TO LAST VERY LONG.

At the Door Registration is $100, we will be accepting both cards and cash as forms of payment for this. As a reminder we are a non-profit organization, any funds generated that do not go to making the event happen go right back into the community through things like our yearly charitable giving and throwing smaller events throughout the year.

We only happen with all of you, and we are so excited to see you all this year!

We Want to Collect Your Blood (Red Cross Blood Drive)
