Need more than one anime convention a year to keep you pumped? Then head on over and check out our friends at the Minneapolis Anime Convention! Check out their annoucement below and see what you can do to keep Anime Fandom alive in the Twin Cities!
Greetings fans and supporters of MAC! As our event draws ever closer, anticipation and excitement are running high. Things are coming together well and we can all look forward to an exciting event next week, however we still need a little help from you.
Available now, and until 3PM on Wednesday June 16th we will be accepting donations to MAC to ensure that we achieve maximum levels of awesome. Any contribution is welcome and will allow us to take things to the next level.
As a special service to you our attendees, we will re-open preregistration effective at 7PM Central Standard Time on Thursday June 10th until Noon Wednesday June 16th to allow any of you who missed out the chance to take advantage of the pre-regisration discount.
Also, as a perk to those of you who have already taken advantage of pre-registration, we have added an upgrade option which will allow you to upgrade your standard registration to the premium level. Verification of your preregisterd status will be required for the upgrade. Anyone who uses the upgrade option who has not preregistered will be given a standard registration.
So tell your friends that missed the deadline that they have a second chance to save a little money, and help make MAC a convention to remember.

2010 Guest of Honor Brittney Karbowski was in a traffic accident. She is doing fine and has the following to say (via Facebook):
"I hydroplaned on 290 and slid into oncoming traffic where I hit a truck head on-both at least at 70mph - rolled a few times and ended upside down in the ditch. No one from the truck was hurt (thank god) & I'm just thanking god to be alive right now - all I got was a broken neck but my brains are still in my head"
We will update you on her status as we learn more.
